Milan and Ralf Rangnick are counting on Hakan Calhanoglu as the Rossoneri reportedly look set to agreeing new terms with the attacker.

The creative attacking midfielder’s agent Gordon Stipic said the 26-year-old has ambitions of playing in the Champions League and was hesitant when talking about Calhanoglu’s future at San Siro.

But Tuttosport claims the club is close to agreeing a new contract with the Turkey international, who is allegedly willing to sign a new deal.

The newspaper claims the player has the reassurance from Ralf Rangnick, as the German director already wanted the attacking midfielder at RB Leipzig three years ago.

After having found his form under Stefano Pioli this term, Calhanoglu seems ready to extend his deal beyond the current contract expiring in June 2021.
