La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Carlos Bacca has turned down West Ham United, as he’s waiting for Atletico Madrid or Arsenal.

Milan had agreed a €30m transfer fee with the Hammers, replicating the sum they paid to sign him from Sevilla a year ago.

Bacca took time over personal terms, but the Gazzetta claim this evening that his agents formally told West Ham the deal was off.

The Colombia international, 29, wants a bigger club and to take part in the Champions League.

Arsenal have now joined the race, though Bacca’s preferred destination remains Atletico Madrid.

He scored 20 goals in 43 competitive games for Milan last season.

The delays are a huge problem for Milan, who have not yet completed the Chinese takeover of the club and therefore need the funds from this sale for new buys.
