Pepe Reina hopes “for the good of Milan, that the decisions being made are the right ones” and isn’t surprised by Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.
The club is in the midst of another revolution this summer, with Coach Gennaro Gattuso and director of sport Leonardo leaving, Paolo Maldini considering his position and CEO Ivan Gazidis promising a focus on balancing the books.
“All we can do is wait and for the good of Milan, I hope that the decisions being made are the right ones,” Reina told Sky Sport Italia.

“We must always put the effort in. The Coach said the squad is in good hands, I have no doubts that the club will continue to grow.
“Gattuso’s decision to leave is to be respected. He deserves credit, because he proved himself once again a man of genuine values.”
There are changes elsewhere too, as former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is reportedly heading towards Juventus after winning the Europa League with Chelsea.
“It would’ve been frankly difficult to see that happening two years ago, but we’ll see. Napoli fans certainly won’t want it to happen, but Juve know how good Sarri is and it is their decision. Sarri is a real football man, he lives and breathes football 24 hours a day.
“He might not have won trophies with us at Napoli, but I am still very proud of what we did together.”
Reina is also a former Liverpool man, so there are no guesses for who he is cheering on in tonight’s Champions League Final against Tottenham Hotspur.
“Liverpool are used to being in Finals and proved they deserve to be there again. I hope they can win in a great game of football. Jurgen Klopp is really stubborn, he never gives in and neither do his teams.
“Tottenham are versatile, often changing system, whereas Liverpool won’t change their philosophy. The aim will be to take the initiative and not be passive.”
There will be a minute’s silence before kick-off in Madrid tonight following the tragic death of Jose Antonio Reyes in a traffic accident.
“We were together at the World Cup in 2006. He was such a happy guy, always ready to joke around. It was a real blow, a sad day, something you wouldn’t expect to happen. At just 35, we lose this lovely lad. I’m sorry for his family, his kids. I send them a hug and my condolences.”
