Milan took to the training ground in Milanello today to finalise their preparations for tomorrow’s Champions League clash with RB Salzburg.

The Rossoneri can book their spot in the Round of 16 of the competition with a positive result against their Austrian opposition tomorrow, making it one of the most important matches of their season. Reaching the Champions League knock-out stages would be an important step forward for Stefano Pioli and his players, who finished bottom of their group in last year’s tournament.

As detailed by Calciomercato.com, Pioli seems likely to deploy Ante Rebic on the right side of the attack against RB Salzburg, and there’s still a battle between Rade Krunic and Charles De Ketelaere for a place behind the striker.

Sergino Dest, who came off the bench during the 2-1 loss to Torino on the weekend, did not take part in the final training session and seems at risk of missing the clash.

  1. It cannot be CDK under any circumstances, he looked lost the other night and didn’t really do much to help. There’s a player in there but he’s hiding it well at the moment.

  2. The reason why Rebic is still not first choice as a striker confuses me, we have all seen how brilliant his movements are as a striker and how he thinks of solutions like no other even before he touches the ball.
With all due respect to Giroud (we all love him), but some games require Rebic due to his speed and support in building up an attack.
suggestion: Leao on the left, Rebic as a striker, right unknown. Supported by Tonali, Diaz, and Ismael.

  3. Play Krunic there please is better than CDK bcos he doesn’t under Milan way of play yet. This match is too important to risk playing those that doesn’t unerstand Pioli style yet
