Red Bull Leipzig reportedly held talks with Udinese for former Manchester City midfielder Seko Fofana.
The 21-year-old hit the headlines at the weekend for a sensational curling strike in their 3-1 win away to Atalanta.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig contacted Udinese and laid the groundwork for a January offer.
Fofana has also been linked with Milan over the past few weeks.
Udinese snapped him up from Manchester City over the summer for €3.5m.
