Giacomo Raspadori came off the bench and scored in a pre-season friendly, which could be his last game in the Sassuolo jersey amid Napoli and Juventus interest.

The striker was initially dropped from the starting XI by coach Alessio Dionisi, a decision that some saw as a sign he is on his way out of the club.

Summer signing Kristian Thorstvedt started in his place against Vis Pesaro and opened the scoring after good work from Maxime Lopez.

Domenico Berardi’s curler was parried and Maxime Lopez got the second on the stroke of half-time with a strike into the top corner.

Berardi sent Agustin Alvarez running for a precise angled drive at 3-0 and Gucci got one back for Vis Pesaro.

Raspadori came on for the last 20 minutes and promptly got on the scoresheet with a left-foot curler.

Sassuolo: Russo, Muldur, Erlic (Ayhan 78), Tressoldi (Ferrari 78), Rogerio (Marchizza 78), Lopez, Obiang (Henrique 60), Thorstvedt (Harroui 46), Berardi (Defrel 70), Alvarez (Raspadori 70), Ceide (D’Andrea 46)
