"If David or someone else were to come and tell me they have other ideas, then it would be different.

"But I want important players in my team and he is one of them."

Pizarro is currently back home in South America recovering from an injury, which was a decision he took without the club's consent.

Asked if he would fine the player, Ranieri said: "I am not the one to decide these things.

"They are things that regard the club. I don't fine anyone."
