Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri says former side Juventus are "not just a team".

After the Bianconeri beat Empoli 3-0 on Sunday, rivals Napoli slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Atalanta, leaving last year’s Champions four points clear at the top after just seven rounds.

"Juventus are replicating on the pitch what everyone thought they were capable of on paper," Ranieri explained on Radio 1.

"It is not just a team, it's a club. The Bianconeri are doing an excellent job and should be given credit for this to all involved."

The veteran coach has also spoken about his former player Francesco Totti, who is still playing for AS Roma despite turning 40 last month.

“Totti as we know, a very good man. I told him that he could play up to the age of 40.

“Now he has agreed to play a role as a substitute, coming on in the final minutes as did [Jose] Altafini. He is truly a unique athlete.

“One that is a champion not only because he had the gift of talent, but also because he has something special in his head, because he knows what to do and how, Totti is one of those players."
