Juventus continue negotiations with Aaron Ramsey, but might have to spend as much as €4m to terminate his contract early by mutual consent.

The midfielder is not part of Max Allegri’s plans this season and the club has little hope of finding someone prepared to pay a transfer fee and cover his salary.

They are therefore trying to terminate the contract early by mutual consent, as the deal runs to June 2023.

Reports suggest Ramsey wants to collect as much of the €7m including add-ons salary that he would’ve earned for the remaining year of his contract.

Juve have offered €2m to tear up the agreement, but the Wales international is holding out for €4m.

Negotiations continue with no agreement yet in sight, but Calciomercato.com maintain a deal can be reached in the middle at just over €3m.

Ramsey was a free agent when leaving Arsenal in the summer of 2019, but has barely featured for the Bianconeri due to injuries and poor form.

He spent the last six months on loan at Glasgow Rangers and has not made the trip to the United States for Juve’s pre-season tour.

  1. Charge it all to Paratici’s account and chop off the infected organ, arguably our worst business in recent history, before season starts

  2. Some people are not just don’t have pride. Even I would feel bad being around with all these injuries and being unable to show I deserve the money I am getting paid. He is already rich enough to keep some pride IMHO. But hey that’s his choice he can claim the whole salary if he wants to.

  3. Total tic of a player. Shameless. Like a parasite, he looks for a club that will fund his private training so he can play exclusively for Wales. It’s unbelievable.

  4. Nobody wants rid of Ramsey more than me but if clubs are going to continue giving crocked players huge contracts you can not blame the players for hanging on for all that lovely money. Ramsey is one of the worst players to wear the shirt. Like that other parasite at Real Madrid he wants to use the club as his personal training ground. Never again.

  5. A contract’s a contract. Juve offered it so can’t blame Ramsey for wanting them to honour it. Get the point around pride and doing the right thing but he’s not gonna get anywhere near that sort of money ever again.

  6. Milan Ric

how about playing accordingly to your salary? A contract is not just a one way ticket. It takes the club and the player to ve committed to what they signed. I don’t see Ramsey being encouraged to play for Juve at all. So I’d say – let him rotten and miss the WC. Juve will be Juve no matter what But Aaron is an unwanted burdain at the age of 31.

  7. Just sit him in the stands so he can’t be match fit for Wales cos’ that’s all he cares about.
