After a disappointing evening in Lyon, the Welsh midfielder is “confident” the Bianconeri will bounce back through “hard work” ahead of the second leg of the last 16 in the Champions League.

“We have a lot of work to do but I’m confident,” Ramsey told Sky Sport Italia. “We are a united group looking forward to the future and for the return leg.

“They are all difficult games, especially in the Champions League. This was only half-time of a very long game.

“We will work hard ahead of the return leg.”

The Old Lady have another important match on Sunday, when Inter arrive at the Allianz Stadium to help their own position in the title battle this season.

The Derby d’Italia could provide a chance for Juventus to take a big step towards another Scudetto this campaign.

“We have to focus on ourselves and do better than we did today,” the Wales international added. “We have to turn the page, think about the League and the match against Inter.

“Then we will think about the Champions League match.”
