Valencia’s Adil Rami has immediately been struck by the family atmosphere at Milan ahead of his January move.

“It’s a good feeling, I am very happy to be here,” the defender told Milan Channel. “The Milanello complex is the best in the world.

“Milan is a big family and I like that very much.

“I have been following Milan for some time, it is a club which I have always liked.

“I already know Kevin Constant and Philippe Mexes. Their presence will help me to integrate more quickly into the squad.

“I’m trying to talk to everyone here, even if I’m a bit behind with the language. For the moment I am communicating in French and Spanish.”

Rami will join the Diavolo officially on loan at the start of next year, but he’s been allowed to leave Valencia with immediate effect after some disciplinary problems there.

“I thank Valencia for giving me the opportunity to train in advance with Milan. During this time I will be able to get to know my new teammates and Coach.

“I have a very strong character, I think I can help the team and increase the competition for places.”
