Adil Rami has commented on his desire to prove his worth to Milan, as he looks forward to working with Philippe Mexes.

The centre-back joined the Rossoneri in the autumn, but has only just had a loan deal to the end of the season from Valencia made official this month.

On from debuting from the bench last weekend, the 28-year-old was today officially presented to the Press.

“I was happy for the reception from the fans, they expect much from me and I am ready to prove to everyone that Milan have done well to sign me,” Rami commented to reporters today.

“Milan do not deserve to be in this position in the League.

“Will I play Sunday? I hope so, I am ready and raring to go. I can’t wait to get out on the field. I am eager to help Milan.

“I believe I have everything I possibly can to contribute to Milan. I want to help this team become more competitive.

“I chose the No 13 shirt because I have always been inspired by Alessandro Nesta. He was a great defender, with great quality, who never hesitated to give his all.

“The first few months at Milan have gone well, the team is fantastic and this is a big club. I am very luck to be here. My objectives? I want to win.”

Rami was asked of working alongside fellow France international Philippe Mexes.

“I have great desire to play, then it will be down to Allegri who that is alongside.

“I have a great understanding with Mexes, we have played in the national team and we get along very well both on and off the pitch.”

Rami was able to move to Milan midseason after a notable episode at Valencia, where he publicly criticised his then-Coach and teammates.

“I’d rather not talk about it.”
