The powerful agent insinuated that the Greek may move to a different club in the summer, but his comments did not go down well in the capital.

Manolas himself responded that Raiola was not his agent and that he intended to stay at Roma. Today, Raiola answered the defender's comments through the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“He's right, I'm not his agent and I never meant to be,” he told Gazzetta.it. “As a free man, I simply expressed my admiration for him as I consider him a great defender.

“I'm sorry that he misunderstood me. In any case, if he's happy at Roma and wants to stay there, I wish for him to fulfil his ambition.”

In the meantime, according to the Corriere della Sera, Roma are planning to bind Manolas to the capital by raising his salary, which is currently at €1.5m.
