Mino Raiola has tipped Milan's Gigi Donnarumma to become the best goalkeeper in the world.

The 17-year-old burst onto the scene last season under then-Rossoneri Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and has retained his first team place under new boss Vincenzo Montella.

Last month, he also became Italy’s youngest ever shot-stopper when he played the second half of a friendly against France.

“He is 17 but has the maturity of a veteran,” super-agent Raiola said of his client. “He looks to improve in every training session, he is a very sincere boy and very polite.

“He could become the best goalkeeper in the world.”

Raiola, however, stopped short of adding that Donnarumma’s long-term development would take place at Milan, saying it depends on the ambition of the club’s new Chinese owners.

“Is he a future pillar of Milan under the Chinese ownership? It depends on what the Chinese try to do. I want to see how much passion the new owners have.

“If anyone asked Milan how much Donnarumma costs, it would mean they would not be able to afford to sign him.”
