Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is again being linked with a January transfer to Milan.

The Spain international has played a bit-part role at Stamford Bridge so far this season, prompting speculation he does not feature in Antonio Conte’s long-term plans.

As such, he has repeatedly been rumoured to be on the way out of the London club, with Corriere Dello Sport’s front page headline on Sunday dedicated to the Rossoneri’s interest in the player.

According to the Italian football daily, the San Siro club tried and failed to sign Fabregas during the summer transfer window but will return with renewed interest in January.

Juventus and Inter have also been linked with a bid for the 29-year-old in recent weeks, with English media reporting on Saturday that Chelsea will include the former Barcelona man as part of their attempts to sign Leonardo Bonucci from the Bianconeri.

Inter meanwhile are reported to be interested in taking Manchester United’s Italian full-back Mateo Darmian back to his homeland.
