The German international will be a free agent when his contract with Liverpool expires on June 30 and is therefore available to negotiate with other clubs.

While the Bianconeri had been in advanced talks with Can’s entourage since January, over recent weeks new offers had come in from Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

According to Rai Sport, the latest contact with the player’s agent has left Juventus “very, very, very optimistic” that he will accept the move to Turin.

The terms put forward by Juventus are a five-year contract worth €5m per year net – which would be €10m gross.
