Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez seem to be sending a message via social media to those who might believe Paolo Maldini’s time at Milan is coming to an end.
The squad came back to the Milanello training ground today for the first time since losing the Champions League semi-final against Inter, 1-0 on Tuesday for a 3-0 aggregate result.
The players will have seen the reports in the media that director Maldini is one of those blamed for the defeat along with coach Stefano Pioli, with suggestions they could be dismissed at the end of the season.
Perhaps with that in mind, both Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez posted images on their Instagram and Twitter accounts depicting them at the Milanello ground with Maldini.
Leao was sitting a little despondent on a bench while Maldini seemed to impart the wisdom of a man who has seen it all in football, the Portuguese talent adding red and black hearts to reiterate his commitment to the club.
Theo Hernandez went even further, sharing a photograph of him shaking hands with Maldini.
