Adrien Rabiot is the latest Juventus player to suffer an injury as a muscle issue rules him out of today’s match against Salernitana.

The 27-year-old Frenchman did not feature in last weekend’s match against Fiorentina but played almost the entire game in the frustrating 2-1 Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the weekend. Rabiot hasn’t looked desperately convincing following a summer that almost saw him join Manchester United.

As reported by Romeo Agresti, Rabiot will not take part in Juventus’ clash against Salernitana this evening after suffering an issue with his left soleus muscle. Six Bianconeri players have already been ruled out of the game and now the Frenchman makes it seven, limiting Massimiliano Allegri’s options even more.

Despite their strong summer transfer window, Juventus’ injury crisis has left their squad looking a little thin, something the coach drew attention to in a press conference yesterday, underlining the need to get through to November with the best possible results.

Key first team players like Federico Chiesa and Paul Pogba aren’t set to feature regularly until after the World Cup in Qatar.
