Adrien Rabiot’s mother and agent Veronique met with Juventus’ management yesterday, where they discussed a new one-year contract and his importance to the project in Turin.

The 28-year-old Frenchman was a key part of Massimiliano Allegri’s squad in the Piedmont capital this season, seeing over 4200 minutes of action across 48 games in all competitions.

Rabiot’s current contract with Juventus expires at the end of this month and the club are not keen to lose him, hoping to maintain some level of consistency as they prepare for a new era in Turin.

As reported by Tuttosport, Veronique Rabiot met with Juventus’ management in Turin yesterday to discuss her son’s future at the club, where his importance to the club was reiterated. The Bianconeri have offered the midfielder a one-year contract worth €7m net.

Rabiot will meet his mother in Clairefontaine today to discuss the situation, aware that he’ll need to make a decision in the coming weeks. Manchester United are still interested in picking him up, following on from their failed attempts last summer.
