Adrien Rabiot confirms that Juventus‘ Champions League qualification is crucial for his future in Turin.
The France international is under contract at the Allianz Stadium until June 2023. Talks over a new deal have already begun, but the ex-PSG midfielder is not going to sign a new agreement with the Old Lady anytime soon.
“The Champions League is an important competition and we can reach it through Serie A or Europa League,” the ex-PSG midfielder told DAZN on Sunday night. as quoted by TMW.
“Surely, it will be important for my future.”
Juventus are currently 12 points below the top four following a 15-point deduction for financial irregularities.
The Serie A giants have recently lodged an appeal to CONI, hoping to see the penalty revoked. Without the point penalty, Juventus would sit along with Inter with 50 points, 15 below leaders Napoli.
Rabiot joined Juventus as a free agent from PSG in 2019 and has scored 13 goals in 157 appearances with the Old Lady. He is among the highest earners at the Allianz Stadium with a €7m-a-year contract.
With five goals in Serie A this season, Rabiot is the second most-prolific central midfielder in the league after Atalanta‘s Teun Koopmeiners who has managed six so far in 2022-23.
