The agent of Thiago Silva has confirmed that there are transfer talks going on between Milan and Paris-Saint Germain for his client.

Stories on Monday suggested that a €50m swoop could take place and Paolo Fernando Tonietto has told TMW that discussions are being held.

“A negotiation between Milan and Paris Saint-Germain does exist, but I don’t know if Milan will sell him,” the representative stated.

“If Milan do decide to let him go then it would be the right time for Thiago Silva to change clubs.

“All of Europe’s biggest outfits have expressed an interest to Milan about Thiago Silva, but almost all thought the club wouldn’t sell because we are talking about one of their most important players.”

Milan director general Ariedo Braida this morning insisted that the club would not be sacrificing the South American.

However, Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has flown into Paris earlier today which has fuelled rumours that a switch could be imminent.
