Italy will go into the Croatia game on Thursday in the knowledge that they have won just one of their last 10 games – in normal time – at major tournaments.

Since the 3-0 win over the Ukraine in the 2006 World Cup quarter-finals, the Azzurri have only beaten France at Euro 2008 in 90 minutes.

In 2006, they beat Germany in the semi-finals after extra time, while they defeated France in the Final on penalties.
