Diego Llorente is on loan to Roma from Leeds United, but there are reports in France that Paris Saint-Germain want to snap him up in January.

The 30-year-old veteran has impressed when fit for the Giallorossi, making 23 competitive appearances between Serie A, the Europa League and Coppa Italia, in which he also contributed two assists.

Roma took Llorente on loan from Leeds United with an option to buy that becomes an obligation if certain conditions are met and it is reported that cut-off point is if he plays in 50 per cent of the club’s games this season.

The option to buy is set at €5m.

However, Footmercato claim that Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has pin-pointed Llorente as a possible reinforcement for his team in France during the January transfer window.

Considering the lack of finances at Roma, an early exit would perhaps free them from the obligation to purchase a 30-year-old defender with injury problems.

Footmercato suggest that Dayot Upamecano is the first choice for PSG, but also that their chances of getting the Bayern Munich defender are practically non-existent.
