Monza are very active in the January transfer window, securing Daniel Maldini on loan from Milan and maybe not just him, plus asking after Mitchel Bakker, Moise Kean and Nemanja Radonjic.

Raffaele Palladino’s side is seeking reinforcements after a relatively quiet summer and CEO Adriano Galliani is hard at work with his little black book of contacts.

The biggest name in there is Milan and he helped secure one deal already, as Maldini had his final training session with Empoli today and will have the medical with Monza tomorrow.

It is going to be a dry loan until the end of the season, hoping the son of Milan legend Paolo can get more regular playing time.

This isn’t the only deal, as Monza have also asked Milan for 18-year-old defender Davide Bartesaghi on loan.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, they approached Atalanta for wing-back Bakker and Juventus for striker Kean, who has been rather pushed down the pecking order by the emergence of Kenan Yildiz.

Negotiations are also said to be on-going with Torino for Radonjic, but face real competition from the San Jose Earthquakes, who are ready to offer €3.5m.
