Jose Mourinho seems set to start with Eldor Shomurodov up front when Roma host Fiorentina in the first match, as Tammy Abraham is not ready.

The match kicks off at 19.45 UK time at the Olimpico.

The Giallorossi are expected to start in a 4-2-3-1 formation against Vincenzo Italiano’s Fiorentina tonight, with Rui Patricio ready to start his first Serie A game in goal.

Uruguayan Matias Vina should start at left in the back-four, with Rick Karsdorp at right, and Marash Kumbulla linking up with Gianluca Mancini in the heart of the defence.

Bryan Cristante and Amadou Diawara will most likely start in the middle, behind Nicolò Zaniolo, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Roma have signed two new strikers this summer, but former Chelsea man Abraham doesn’t seem fit enough to get the go ahead in the first round, with Shomurodov expected to start.

Italiano is expected to play a 4-3-3 formation with Dusan Vlahovic in the middle of the attacking trident, completed by Jose Callejon and Nicolas Gonzalez.

Roma (probable): Rui Patricio; Karsdorp, Mancini, Kumbulla, Vina; Cristante, Diawara; Zaniolo, Pellegrini, Mkhitaryan; Shomurodov

Fiorentina (probable): Dragowski; Venuti, Milenkovic, Igor, Biraghi; Bonaventura, Pulgar, Castrovilli; Gonzalez, Vlhaovic, Callejon
