Stefano Pioli had been trying to decide between Leao and Brahim Diaz, but the choice has seemingly been taken out of his hands.
Rebic has a calf injury, did not manage to complete this morning’s training session and Pioli said in his press conference that the Croatian is “more out than in.”
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic already out of action with a knee problem, that means Leao is the only real alternative as a centre-forward.
Brahim Diaz therefore retains his spot as a trequartista, with Alexis Saelemaekers on the right and Hakan Calhanoglu down the left.
