Former Italy CT Cesare Prandelli admits he has a “very big” desire to return to Coaching.

The tactician stepped-down as Azzurri boss after the 2014 World Cup, before moving to Turkish side Galatasaray.

However, the Istanbul club fired him after just five months in the job, and the former Fiorentina Coach has been unable to find work since.

“The desire to return to Coach is there and it’s very big,” Prandelli admitted on Radio Crc.

“Fortunately I have other interests which keep me busy.”

Prandelli was then asked for his thoughts on the season so far, as Juventus look set to beat Napoli to the Scudetto.

“Napoli this season have entertained us and made us cheer, we must thank them. [Maurizio] Sarri’s players have been fighting with Juventus for months to win the Scudetto, and it’s nice when you see a bit of uncertainty at the top of the League.

“I hope next year there will be other contenders in the title fight. I think the Neapolitans should be kicking themselves for the defeat in Udine, they seemed nervous to me and I don’t know why.

“[Massimiliano] Allegri’s team [Juventus] are used to winning, and can handle the pressure at the top.

“I’m happy for Manolo Gabbiadini, I always thought he had quality and I gave him his debut for the national team.”
