Leonardo Spinazzola has received incredibly positive news following a number of medical checks at the Neo Clinic in Finland.

The 29-year-old Italian full back suffered an Achilles tendon rupture during Italy’s Euro 2020 clash last summer, ending his year six months early. He has not made a single appearance for Roma this season, remaining stuck in the sidelines in recovery.

As highlighted by Alfredo Pedulla, tests carried out at the Neo clinic returned positive news, meaning that Spinazzola will be able to increase his workload until he’s back training fully with the rest of the squad.

It’s likely that the former Atalanta and Juventus man will only be available for the final two or three games of the season. Roma’s final three games of the season are Fiorentina on May 8, Venezia on May 15 and Torino on May 22.

Spinazzola had an incredible tournament at Euro 2020 last summer and fans are eagerly awaiting his return, hoping he’ll hit the same heights again.
