Porto President Pinto da Costa says his club will not be selling Jackson Martinez to Milan this summer.

The Rossoneri are in the market for a new forward, following their decision to sell Mario Balotelli to Liverpool, a deal expected to be completed later today.

The Colombian forward has reportedly been sounded out by the San Siro hierarchy as the man to replace the outgoing Balotelli, with a conversation said to have taken place between Milan CEO Adriano Galliani and da Costa regarding the player earlier this afternoon.

However, early indications are not good, with Gazzetta.it quoting the Porto chief to have said, “Jackson Martinez is incredible. We won’t sell the attacker.”

This will not put Milan off for the time being, though it appears increasingly likely they will have to bid higher than the €20m that has been touted.
