Inter’s Matteo Politano has finally relented and agreed to join Napoli, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The winger’s move to Roma collapsed last week due to issues surrounding the Leonardo Spinazzola part of the swap deal, and nothing to do with Politano himself.

There had been hope on the player’s behalf that a deal could still be worked out between the Giallorossi and Inter.

However it seems unlikely, as there isn’t a good relationship at present between the sides in the aftermath of the move breaking down.

Napoli had stepped forward and agreed a deal with Inter days ago, but Politano wasn’t enthusiastic on moving to the San Paolo.

It seems the 26-year-old has finally given the go-ahead for the reported €25m deal to happen.

Napoli striker Fernando Llorente had originally been part of the deal, but Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the former Juventus and Tottenham striker isn’t included in the Politano deal.

This could mean that the Nerazzurri will try and cement a deal for Chelsea's Olivier Giroud.

The French striker has reportedly agreed terms with Inter, but the Italian side hadn’t been able to satisfy the Premier League side's demands for the player.
