Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba wants to win the Ballon d’Or one day but “there’s a lot of work to be done”.

The Frenchman was named in FIFPro’s team of the year for 2015, but didn’t make the final three for the Ballon d’Or, which went to Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

“I hope one day I can win it, but there’s a lot of work to be done,” Pogba told Mediaset at the presentation ceremony.

“I hope one day I can win it, but there’s a lot of work to be done,” Pogba told Mediaset at the presentation ceremony.

“I hope to continue like this, and today is a great victory when I think about where I started. I’m happy for myself, but even more for all the people who helped me get to this stage.”

Pogba was seen signing a Barcelona shirt, a controversial move given he’s been heavily linked with the Bluagrana.

“It didn’t mean anything.” the midfielder insisted.

The Bianconeri star also believes Coach Max Allegri should have been nominated for Coach of the Year, and goalkeeper Gigi Buffon should have been on the Ballon d'Or shortlist.

"It's strange. They both deserved a nominated for their respective awards.

"Gigi is number one, and he proves it every day."
