Milan midfielder Tommaso Pobega might leave the Rossoneri on another loan deal this summer, with Sampdoria, Torino and Cagliari monitoring his situation.

MilanNews reports the midfielder, who spent last term on loan with Spezia in the top flight, could be on his way out the door on another loan deal ahead of 2021-22.

The 22-year-old vowed to fight for a place in Stefano Pioli’s squad, but Milan are looking for a new midfielder and are reportedly ready to let Pobega leave on another temporary deal.

Pobega signed a new five-year contract with Milan before joining Spezia last year but is yet to convince the coach to give him a place in the starting line-up at San Siro.

Sampdoria, Torino and Cagliari are, according to the outlet, interested in the central midfielder, who appeared in 20 competitive games with the Aquilotti last term.

He contributed six goals and three assists in the process.

  1. I haven’t really seen anything from him in pre-season to suggest he is really to cement a first 11 place. At his age, he needs to play. It makes no sense for him to spend the entire season being a bit part bench warmer. It will stagnate his progress. A loan move makes perfect sense.

  2. Let’s face the fact, how much does MILAN have to wrestle the midfielder we all claim has lived up to Pioli’s expectation? Here is a young man trying hard to fit in. Even if Milan bring a MF now, he will fall in the pecking order behind Kessie, Benaccer and Tonali. So what’s bad in Pobega filling that gap pls?

Same we thoughtless of Calabria, Kalulu, Gabbia last year, and here we go when Injury struck, we were left with nothing but to improvised. Dolling out cash anyhow when we have a promising youth set-up just hoping for the coach to believe in them, take a deep breath and be patience with their growth. I am convinced Maldini, Pobega, Diaz, Di Gesu, Gabbia, Kalulu would be the icing among the pack this season.

    Watch out!
