Michel Platini scoffed at the €100m price-tag for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba. “Nobody is worth that much.”

The UEFA President has been critical of Pogba recently, insisting he is “not a champion” yet and still has a lot of growing to do.

“Pogba is a bright hope for French football. I don’t know if he will be for Juventus too next season,” Platini told Sky Sport Italia.

“Pogba is a bright hope for French football. I don’t know if he will be for Juventus too next season,” Platini told Sky Sport Italia.

“He is a great player, along with Raphael Varane. That’s a long way from saying he will be the best in the world, as he’s very young.

“Nobody is worth €100m. If money had money, then it could spend it. How much did I cost? Nothing, I always left at the end of my contract.”
