“The gap with Juventus has been reduced,” Pjanic told La Stampa newspaper.

“We are in our second year with Rudi Garcia, we know his style of football better and have made few changes in the squad too.

“It’s always tough against Juve, but we know how to cause them more problems.”

The Bosnian international has been repeatedly linked with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and PSG.

“When I was first contacted by Roma, I didn’t know where they were based. I wanted to stay at Lyon, but director Sabatini called me 10 times a day and that made me feel important.

“I did the right thing, as there is a project here that we all want to stick with all the way.”
