Miralem Pjanic said Juventus “got the message” ahead of their 4-0 win at Dinamo Zagreb and only received a knock.

The Bosnia international scored one goal and set up another for Gonzalo Higuain in the Champions League clash, then limped off at half-time.

“I got a kick just under my calf muscle, but I hope everything will be fine to be fit against Empoli this weekend,” he told Mediaset Premium.

The Bosnia international scored one goal and set up another for Gonzalo Higuain in the Champions League clash, then limped off at half-time.

“I got a kick just under my calf muscle, but I hope everything will be fine to be fit against Empoli this weekend,” he told Mediaset Premium.

“We got the message, were humble, know what we want, want to win and these are the three points we were waiting for.

“If we look at the performance against Palermo, we clearly need to improve and occupy the spaces better. We had some good chances tonight and did what the Coach asked.”

Pjanic was originally used as a deep-lying midfield playmaker, but has now been redirected to a less central role. What is his best position?

“People have been asking me that for five years. I put myself at the disposal of the Coach, as I already played in front of the defence at Roma and did well, it all depends on how the team plays and the movements.

“I also like being closer to the goal so I can set up the strikers. I am here, part of the squad and play where the Coach wants me to.”
