Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic says he wants to touch the ball 150 times a game as “playing under Max Allegri was completely different.”

Pjanic’s importance to Juve has been elevated by Maurizio Sarri’s appointment, with the midfielder no longer always looking to “immediately get the ball wide”.

“There are obviously things that still to be improved, but I’m convinced that with the passage of time, everything will get better and better,” he said at a Press conference for tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

My teammates always look for me and I like that. Playing under Allegri was completely different, we immediately looked to get the ball wide.

“Now it’s different. In the last few games I’ve tried more forward passes, but it all depends on what the Coach asks of me. I want to get to touching 150 balls per game.

“I want to be one of the best midfielders in the world. I’m playing for one of the best teams in the world. I was lucky to grow step by step with the Coaches I had.

“Winning helps you improve, and I know I can improve even more. The Juventus players are all ready to reach the highest objectives.

We have an experienced group with players who have won everything, and that aspect helps in certain games. I don’t think it’s a flaw.”
