Fatih Karagumruk coach Andrea Pirlo could be the next Belgium coach as the Belgian FA start to consider their list of possible candidates.

The 43-year-old Italian coach has been with the Turkish outfit since June of this year, penning a one-year deal. He’s overseen 19 matches so far, averaging 1.37 points per match. Pirlo did well with Juventus in his first coaching role, winning two trophies and averaging 2.15 points per game across 52 matches.

As reported by Het Laatste Nieuws, Belgium are now looking for a replacement for Roberto Martinez and are considering a long list of possible coaches, which includes Pirlo. The Belgian FA will start carrying out interviews this week and the former Juventus coach could soon be called in.

Fatih Karagumruk currently sit 10th in the Turkish Super Lig, picking up just five wins from 17 outings, and Pirlo may welcome the chance to coach a national team of Belgium’s calibre.

Tough competition is likely to come from Thierry Henry, who has been working with the Red Devils for a number of years. The former Arsenal star already has the public support of a few players, such as Romelu Lukaku.
