Andrea Pirlo believes Juventus are “still the team to beat” and “will do everything” to be at Euro 2016.

The midfielder left the Bianconeri to join MLS side New York City FC this summer, with the Italian champions initially struggling this season.

However, after six wins in a row, the regista insists his old club are still the most dangerous team in Serie A.

“I think Juventus are still the strongest,” Pirlo said at the AIC [players’ union] gala.

However, after six wins in a row, the regista insists his old club are still the most dangerous team in Serie A.

“I think Juventus are still the strongest,” Pirlo said at the AIC [players’ union] gala.

“They’re still the team to beat, the best-equipped to win the Scudetto.”

Pirlo has 116 Italy caps, but was dropped by Antonio Conte for the last round of matches, and the 36-year-old admits he’s doing everything to make the European Championships this summer.

“The Euros are what I care about. I’ll do everything to be there, but the decision is entirely down to the Coach.”
