Juventus Gianluigi Buffon praises his Milan namesake Donnarumma – “he’s a top goalkeeper”.
The Bianconeri number 1 was receiving the award for best goalkeeper at the AIC’s Oscar del Calcio gala, the 12th time he has been given the award.
“He [Donnarumma] is definitely a top goalkeeper,” Buffon told reporters.
“To be 16-years-old and able to handle that kind of media pressure is important and rare.

“I’m happy, because he’s being protected and growing adequately, despite the enormous pressure that has been created for him.”
Donnarumma names Buffon as his idol, and has often been compared to the World Cup-winner, who made his Parma debut at 17.
