Agent Andrea D’Amico says Toronto’s Sebastian Giovinco, New York City FC’s Andrea Pirlo and Zenit’s Domenico Criscito will all stay put.

The trio have been linked with moves away in January, most notably Pirlo who has been connected with a short-term move to Inter.

However, D’Amico dismissed the suggestion that a move was on the cards and looked ahead to the January market of a ‘very strange’ Serie A season.

The trio have been linked with moves away in January, most notably Pirlo who has been connected with a short-term move to Inter.

However, D’Amico dismissed the suggestion that a move was on the cards and looked ahead to the January market of a ‘very strange’ Serie A season.

“I was sure that Sebastian would do well in MLS, he believes in the project and I don’t think he’ll return to Europe in January,” D’Amico told Tuttosport.

“Pirlo? I don’t think he'll be back.

“This Serie A season is very strange and during the next market everyone will try to take advantage of the opportunity.

Juventus have already returned, it was inevitable that they struggled to replace players like Tevez, Pirlo and Vidal.

“In the summer it was a difficult market for the Bianconeri, but the only uninspired operation was that relating to Hernanes.

“The Fiorentina of youth and possession is the team that has impressed me the most.

“I have to believe again in Empoli: after the departure of Sarri, Valdifiori and Hysaj I didn’t think it could happen again, but Giampaolo is doing very well.

Roma and Lazio can’t lose any more ground and the market comes at the right time for both.

“I would see Perotti doing well at Juventus but that’s just a personal opinion.

“Rigoni out of the team? I spoke with Zamparini: the President is reflecting and will decide what’s best for Palermo.

“I reiterated the seriousness and professionalism of the guy. If we were to act on the market however, I’m certain that we won’t have problems.

“Criscito? He will remain at Zenit. I was in Russia and he is doing very well there, because he’s playing consistently.”
