Andrea Pirlo is “very happy” for Cristian Brocchi, but cannot say if sacking Sinisa Mihajlovic was the right decision for Milan.
Former midfielder Brocchi has been working in the youth academy, but was promoted to the main job yesterday.
“He made the right journey by starting from the youth academy and moving up through the Primavera team,” Pirlo told Sky Sport Italia.

“He did really well there. I spoke to him a few days ago, he really wants to improve himself. Now he has this huge opportunity and I am very happy for him, as well as convinced he can do well.
“Is it the right choice? I don’t know, especially as I feel bad for Mihajlovic, who is a good man and an excellent Coach.
“We all know that in football the results and the decisions of the club are what matter,” concluded the New York City FC star.
