"The air in Turin is full of a desire to get back to winning ways," continued the Bosman arrival.

"The impression of the club was a good one from the very first minute that I met President Andrea Agnelli.

"The club wants to get back to the top."

Pirlo signed a three-year deal with the Turin giants, but he has revealed that they won't be the last team of his career.

"The idea of ending my playing days at Brescia is still there," he said when asked to comment on his hometown club.

"I'd like to contribute to a club who launched me in this game and that are in my heart. We'll talk about it again in a few years.

"I'm saddened by their relegation, but there are not a shortage of industrialists in Brescia. I hope that one of them helps President Gino Corioni."
