Stefano Pioli confirms Lazio are “going through a good period of form” after sweeping past Torino in the Coppa Italia.

The Biancocelesti earned a 3-1 victory in Turin to book their quarter-final tie with Milan.

“We are going through a good period of form and knew January would be an important month in the fixture list,” said the Coach.

“I am fortunate to have a complete squad that has a lot of quality in all areas. Now we can look ahead to Napoli, which will be a difficult match.”

Lazio are challenging for European qualification in Serie A, but could also get there via the Coppa Italia.

“It’s premature to talk about that. The important thing is that all the lads are involved in a healthy competition for places, so there are no first choice and second string players. There’s room for anyone who deserves to play.”

Danilo Cataldi provided the assist for Miroslav Klose this evening, despite the 16-year age gap between them.

“He had a few injuries that slowed down his growth process, but he is certainly a lad of great promise. He has the qualities to become a future Lazio star.”

Felipe Anderson was on the bench and Pioli assured he’ll be able to play against Napoli on Sunday.

“He’s dealing with some off the field issues, but he asked to come along with us to Turin and he’s happy surrounded by his teammates.”

Felipe Anderson’s father was arrested this week for double manslaughter following a car crash.
