However, a defeat to the Bianconeri followed by a draw at home to Chievo means Roma and Napoli are both within touching distance of Pioli’s men.
“Nothing has changed,” Pioli told journalists in his Press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Parma game.

“Nothing has changed,” Pioli told journalists in his Press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Parma game.
“We had a good performance in Sunday’s game, but we could close it out and avoid the concession of a goal.
“The team showed it has quality, but clearly we need to learn some lessons from that match. We’re ready.
“There are no easy games, in Italy sometimes there are ‘impossible’ results. Juve lost against Parma, Fiorentina lost to Cagliari. There are lots of examples like that.
“We’re looking forward to the direct clashes with our rivals. Looking at the calendar, we had positive results at the end of the first half of the season against Roma, Sampdoria, Inter and Napoli.
“For that reason I think those games will be an opportunity, but I’m thinking about tomorrow’s game.
“I have so much respect for [Parma Coach Roberto] Donadoni and his staff for their dignity. They’re doing well, they don’t deserve to be bottom of the table.
“It’s hard to understand how Parma ended up like this. It’s a team which is close to my heart, I hope they can finish as well as possible.”
In recent seasons Lazio have dropped off at the end of the season, are recent results an indication that could happen again?
“The only game in which we haven’t created enough recently was Juve, but that was down to them.
“The stats say that we dominated against Chievo, but after the break we didn’t run as well, and we became stretched which gave Chievo space.
“It was a game we should have won, but through lack of attention we didn’t manage it.
“We’ve grown up as a team, we don’t care what happened in the past, this is another season and another team.
“We’ll see where we are on May 31.”
