Stefano Pioli was named Serie A Coach of the Month and hints Milan will try to replicate their Atalanta performance in the Derby della Madonnina with Inter.

Pioli received the award before kick-off from Rossoneri director Paolo Maldini after winning five out of five games, so is he angling for the Serie Coach of the Season award too?
“Honestly, awards are not my ambition. My ambition is to have a team always prepared to win important games like tonight,” Pioli told DAZN.
Brahim Diaz and Rade Krunic are playing together, benching Alexis Saelemaekers, so Pioli was asked if that means Rafael Leao will be man-marking Marcelo Brozovic.
“We will take certain positions with the ball, others off it, so that should make us a balanced team at all times.”
Among Milan’s greatest games of the season was their victory away to Atalanta, so will they aim to take a similar approach this evening against Simone Inzaghi’s side?
“We’ve had many performances taking us to this stage, this position and this derby. Considering Atalanta’s tactical approach, that game could well be a reference point for us to look at.”
