Stefano Pioli explains why he has given Charles De Ketelaere his first start in the Milan jersey against Bologna. ‘He seems positive and confident.’

“We are always only challenging ourselves, taking it one game at a time,” Pioli told Sky Sport Italia.
“That is what Serie A requires. Bologna have caused us problems in the past, we will need to make them run hard tonight.”
Belgium international De Ketelaere gets his first start for the Rossoneri, replacing Brahim Diaz, while Olivier Giroud is back upfront.
“I spoke to the whole team, De Ketelaere seems positive and confident, as are all his teammates. There’s no need for any specific encouragement.
“We want to take the initiative, with our characteristics and our qualities. That is something we are working hard on.”
Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has a past on the Milan bench and was given a very warm welcome not just by the fans at San Siro, but also director Paolo Maldini and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Mihajlovic is continuing his recovery after a second bout of leukaemia treatment.
