Rafaela Pimenta, the agent of Juventus’ Paul Pogba, has admitted that she and her client often argue, but are always able to make amends, and in fact, claims that their openness and honesty is one of the main reasons why their relationship works so well.
The super-agent, whose clientele also includes the likes of Erling Haaland, former Juventus defender Mathijs De Ligt and Inter’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan, also explained that her ability to say ‘no’ to her clients is one of the other reasons she has been so successful in the industry.
Speaking to Calciomercato, Pimenta also revealed that Pogba still has plenty of unfinished business with Juventus before he calls it a day on his playing career in Turin.
Pogba himself, has nothing but good things to say about his agent, recently claiming that Pimenta was ‘like a second mother’ to him in a post on Instagram, although the agent took the praise as somewhat of a backhanded compliment.
“When I saw that caption, I asked him how old he thinks I am,” Pimenta laughed while speaking to Calciomercato. She continued: “All jokes aside, it’s an honour to be defined in that way by Paul. We have a very deep relationship, we often argue and then we always make up, it’s always like this.
“The strength behind the relationship is that we can always tell each other the truth, for us this is very important. There is a tendency to always agree with the players, but then it can happen that a player gets angry if they are told ‘no’. We take this approach, even if it means we risk losing some players.”
