Milan players gathered in a circle after a 1-0 win over Sassuolo to prove the dressing room’s unity despite recent highs and lows.

The Rossoneri cemented the third placement in Serie A with a 1-0 victory over Sassuolo at San Siro on Saturday.

It was much needed also for their coach Stefano Pioli who could have been sacked if Milan had lost the last game of the year.

Milan players hugged each other in a circle on the pitch after the final whistle to prove their unity and commitment in a tricky moment of the campaign.

Milan shared the picture on their official X account.

Alessandro Florenzi explained after the game: “It was for us. To say that every time we leave the pitch with our tongues out, we can have no regrets. Today, everyone gave their all.”

Coach Pioli added: “This is the team’s victory. This is a group that, during my time here, has never given up in difficult moments,” while Simon Kjaer said: “There’s a united group that is working every day to continue on the same path together, it’s fundamental.”
