Romelu Lukaku sent a direct message to his critics after scoring a hat-trick for Belgium in a 3-0 win over Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Sweden on Friday.

The Belgian forward, who has scored five goals in 19 appearances with Inter this season, was crucial in Domenico Tedesco’s debut as Belgium’s coach, scoring a hat-trick against Sweden in the first match of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

After the match, he posted several Instagram stories, including one where he appears to silence his critics. Lukaku has now scored 71 goals in 105 appearances with his national team.

The Chelsea loanee, who will return to Stamford Bridge in the summer, also posted a picture on Instagram, writing: “A new era has begun. Great performance by the whole team.”
