According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea are considering terminating Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract, so Inter have set their sights on the 33-year-old.
The former Arsenal striker joined Chelsea last summer but has been struggling with playing time this season being dropped from the Champions League list for the knock-out phase.
Chelsea are said to be furious with their striker after seeing him celebrate with Barcelona players a win in El Clasico against Real Madrid last week. Therefore, they could decide to terminate his contract, which would make him available for Inter on a free transfer.
The Nerazzurri will send Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea in the summer, and unless the Belgian forward improves his performance, they won’t bring him back to the Stadio Meazza in 2023-24.
Aubameyang, a former Milan academy player, is an option for the Nerazzurri if he rescinds with the Blues and the same is true of Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino who won’t extend his expiring contract at Anfield, according to the pink paper.
